Sexual Harassment

What is sexual harassment?

Sexual harassment includes unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature that interferes with someone’s work performance or creates a hostile work environment. Examples:

  • Sexual advances
  • Requests for sexual favors in exchange for an employment benefit
  • Verbal or physical conduct that is sexual in nature

What should I do?

Keep sexual comments, jokes, displays or expressions out of the workplace. Recognize that these things may make the work environment hostile to others.

Respect these rules at work and at Coty-sponsored events. These rules apply while working (onsite or online) and at company gatherings, such as office parties or team outings.

Respect romantic noninterest. Do not persist asking someone out on a date if they already turned you down.

Stand up for others. If you become aware of inappropriate conduct, report it and do not allow it to continue, regardless of who is creating the situation.

Q&A

A: No. Sexual advances can still be considered sexual harassment whether they were rejected or not. You may report what you heard, or she can report the conduct herself.
